Ever heard of the saying: "If you want something done, then do it yourself."? Well that applies quite a lot in this world, especially in this fine, inadequate and so-called humble little island of Malta.
The significance of my post today is to merely grumble about what the people at the "Administration office" are able to do, or not to do in this case. After several minutes of "holding the line" and which seem like countless hours of listening to the crushing sounds they call music, a woman then asks (as what she may think is in a polite manner) to "once again hold the line"... and the story goes on and on...and on...and on.When finally reaching a humane-sounding voice which is other than the recorded voice machine, they simply answer with a "Sorry, but we're unable to help you... just check our website".
Are these people not able to answer a phone with decency and stop taking lunch breaks after every 3 calls they answer? and if you're supposed to be of "help" to confused about-to-be students or anyone calling for any particular reason whatsoever, aren't you supposedly able to please them without checking the website to answer their question? Because sincerely, we can all check the website ourselves in that case. Are you simply there to have a job and do nothing else, because if that's the case.. well then, tell me where to apply for it.. or will you just send me to your website for that as well?
